Absolutely pathetic. Brings back the worst days of BL, when they would add a horrible-looking grille to a mini, add a few bells and whistles and rebadge it Riley or Wolseley.
The AM brand, now one of the world's most admired and revered, will be irreparably damaged if they launch it. Imagine if someone where to say -in the near future- that they own an AM: His/her audience would most likely think "Oh dear, another wannabe with one of those rebadged Toyotas'.
If AM wants to bring emissions down they should incorporate direct fuel injection, start-stop and regenarative braking, but they probably don't have the means now that they're no longer in the Ford group.
I hope it's not the beginning of the end for AM as a similar move did for those revered old brands, but it sure looks like it.
