Corvette’s C6 has been upgraded by German tuner Loma Performance.

Loma’s C6 Blackforce One uses a twin-turbo V8 engine, tuned to produce 783bhp. A special carbonfibre clutch has been fitted, while carbonfibre driveshafts, sports exhaust system and a rebuilt gearbox also feature.

Stuff the mechanical/engine upgrades, it doesn't need them. However, the design is awesome, it looks like a monster, pure aggression and not too OTT. Picture number 6 is pure evil and the stuff of nightmares!

3.4sec!, it's that slow!, as usual the Corvette turns up late to the party, dressed in a cheap looking suite, medallion dangling down to its navel, posing as something its not!, if Cheverolet would give it better rear suspension, a more solid interior(coke bottles recycled i'm told!just kidding!) and shall we say more solid bodywork(carbon fibre even), we this side of the pond wouldn't object to paying a £100,000 + for one of Uncle Sam's legends, would we?. The bodykit looks like it from a Batman movie sale, UGH!

I don’t know Peter, it was fast enough to smack down that Audi with the Lambo engine on Top Gear’s recent episode, and it did it with two wheel drive on a damp track. ;)

Completely agree. I don't normally like this type of tuned car but this looks great.

If you haven't driven a particular car don't say you have just to prove a point. It doesn't fool anybody and is bloody annoying.

I don't know Jackflash,in a straight line it kicked the Audi, but round the corners it was worse than a broken trolley at Tesco's, not much use here where there are bends in the road, whereas in the U.S there are lot of very straight long roads, and for my money i'll take handling over top speed any time!

It handles just fine for UK roads, unless you drive it to extremes, which would be best done on a track, not public roads. In my car testing days I used to go to a lot of track events, and never came close to losing control apart from when driving a 156 at a test track - and then only because I was trying to keep up with a 350Z which meant I had to drive like a maniac/tw@t.

You mean when Clarkson was driving, or when Stig was the pilot, because even Clarkson was saying how much more composed the Vette looked during the hot laps. You see Peter when you have a rear wheel drive car with almost 650 horsepower it helps to know how to modulate a gas pedal for best results. In other words, it’s not the cars fault Clarkson can’t drive.

As far as the straight roads myth, the whole point of an interstate system is to be as straight as possible to get the most direct route to your destination. There are plenty of scenic curvy roads if you just take a moment to look for them, but then again it would ruin a perfect chance to perpetuate a myth for the uninitiated.

Jackjflash, i heartily concur too your opinions, and i do sort of agree too your opinions on JC,my other opinion on Clarksons driving is that he sometimes drives like his opinion by which i mean if he doesn't like it, it's thrown round the track like it's the cars fault, when the Stig drove it(admittedly a far more talented RACING driver) it was a different car in his hands, talent taming the beast? i don't know.On public roads none of us will ever drive like this, yes the Corvette may have superior performance, but, but, it's so crappily made, no quality, yes, i wouldn't pay £750 for matching seat belts, and yes i'd by the standard bogo car,the driving experience is what we're all after not how much exrta bling we add too it.

Looks wicked!  But if I had that kind of money, I'd just buy a ZR1.

Hell, I wish I could afford a base model Vette.  Still the best sports car value on the planet.

Well if it's the best car on the planet, how come it's not made in righthand drive?, all cars of this ilk are made in left and righthand drive except for the Corvette!,what's the problem?
