So after 2 years developement, and how many millions? the gap to the GTR has been halved, whilst the car is still twice the price.

 Autocar you know what you need to do, take both cars to the Ring and do a chase video.

For once I have suspicion over Porsche's claim that the facelifted and updated 911 turbo can lap the Ring 10 seconds quicker than its predecessor. A 5 second improvement, maybe........but 10 seconds?

Power has not increased a great deal and suspensions are largely the same as before. Maybe most of the improvements came from the PDK transmission?

What tyres were they using for the test? Racing slicks with grooves hand-cut into them?

I've got a GT-R, a Mini Cooper S Convertible and a Disco 3 HSE - together they cost me about the same as a new GT3 RS ;o)

thats correct the old 997 Turbo with 480hp laped the Ring in 2008 in 7:38min officle claimed by Porsche during a Porsche GT-R, GT2 and Turbo compare.

Car´s in Action in south africa claimed the new 997 Turbo facelift laped the Ring in 7:27min
