Just been for a test drive in a '51' plate Galaxy. Drove 10 miles to the garage to meet the guy and I wasn't offered a drink and the seats were grey instead of black and it had no carpet in the boot and it wouldnt go faster than 35mph in first gear.
Do i have a case with trading stadrads? I was really pissed at driving 20 miles for this service.

What he means is how fast should an 11 year old Ford Galaxy be able to go in 1st gear. I doubt any of them are geared for much more than 30, the diesels a chunk less.

I normally expect at least 42mph out of a petrol Galaxy if you shoot in to the red a bit. I've had 12 of them. Really bloody pissed off.

I'm not surprised you've had 12 if you reach 42 in first everytime you pull away!

Ford specs for a 2001 Galaxy. Theoretical top speed in 1st Gear 2.3 litre zetec, 29mph. The 2.8 litre V6 with the 6 speed box will achieve 37mph.
