It has always been frowned-on to talk football in this forum , but things could change if Chevrolet really do start sponsoring Manchester United. To be honest I'm not a fan of either, and I particularly hate the Chevrolet "bow tie" logo, but it appears we're going to see a lot more of it in future.

You're brave, I got a telling off from dearly beloved but unfortunately departed brother Fidji on this topic despite him heartily contributing to a football thread some weeks before; he's a forgetful soul though, not knowing what car he drives, what job he does etc etc.

With respect to the question, you planted a delicious thought in my mind of seeing Wayne Rooney darting around Alderly Edge in his sponsored Matiz.

Are scu..sorry, man utd losing their Audi sponsorship? Interesting.

Arsenal has Citroen,  their players appear regularly in press releases. There are a few other car/sports team tie-ups past & present - Italian rugby/Jaguar, BMW/PGA Golf, Volkwagen/England & Wales cricket etc.

Surprised there aren't more really.

Vauxhall have been the smartest here they support england insted of just one team, this not only works  because you wont get people supporting outher teams disliking the brand and because vauxhall only sell in the UK!

England should be sponsored by something that looks good on paper but is prone to rust, breaking down regularly before finally running out of petrol.

Lancia something or other perhaps?

Oh dear God, no-one has mentioned it all week! It was a bit of light humour, nothing more, Frigid would have loved it but to answer your question, I'm over it, Leslie.

Are you?

There is nothing I've actually said that wasn't true. For the record, I'm genuinely sorry that Flaccid, who campaigned so long and hard for this wonderful forum to be rid of trolls, was identified as such a beast and hoisted up and upon his own petard, how embarrassing must that have been?

This forum is big enough for everyone to use, it isn't the plaything of a few and sensible and pragmatic moderation has seen to that. I hope you can recognize that too.

I shall be happy to welcome Figjam back come Saturday because I believe that the forum should be inclusive of, and allow for, everyone who wants to use it, serious posters and less serious alike.

Who knows, he may have changed cars and jobs again and the more literal frequenters of Autismcar's forum will have something fresh to squabble or debate about.

Leslie, the forum is bigger than any of us.

Interesting idea and might be useful here in Glasgow:  If Ford Sponsored Rangers and Chevy sponsored Celtic, we could all continue fighting each other under the banner of Ford / Chevy wars redneck stylee and hence avoid being arrested for sectarinism...!?  The question would of course become, is driving a Boss 302 past Parkhead tantamount to inciting automotive hatred!?  And would the opening bars of Layla be a banned in public!!?

Master Mom VIII's baseball footwear were detailed Bills Tickets within the Great Clothing collection of 1526, a record of the day Dolphins Tickets. They were created by his individual shoemaker Cornelius Jackson in Cowboys Tickets, at a price of 4 shillings, the comparative of £100 in modern cash.
