Not to mention it's a waste of a perfectly good classic car, why would he want to break it?

Don't break it, it looks like a very nice classic-ish car! And if you say it drives well you may as well keep it! for that price its a steal!

Cheers I have every intention of keeping it, had been looking for a semi classic sports car/ sporty car for a while, quite fancied a volvo 480, but they were always to far away to go and look at, I am VERY pleased with my little bit of 1980s retro fun.

absolutely agree with Si73. "value is irrelevant as is out right performance its how it drives and looks that counts for me". don't know how long can i own a car, expecting.
