In Lieu of any UK data on the Toyobaru, here's a snippet from one of the US mags.

Apologies for the size of the pics...!

No problem with the pictures - wish I could manage to include things like that in my posts sometimes!
6.6 secs to 60 looks more realistic than what has been quoted based on its output and weight - I really fancy one of these and have booked an alert for a test drive when my local Scooby dealer gets a demonstrater.
It is the only sub 4.5m RWD alternative to a new 1 Series I can think of, and while I had a new model 118iSE as a courtesy car which drove brilliantly the spec is a bit odd - some newer gadgets are included but things I have on my current 1 series SE like dual-zone climate and parking sensors are extra!
By the time you factor these sort of items in the Subarota as I like to think of it (because Subaru seem to have had the main influence in the mechanical bits) looks reasonably priced and so much more sporting, at least until the Coupe version of the new 1 series arrives but that may be a bit more expensive and probably will be less focussed.

Check out my road test report of the GT86. It's not slow.
