The introduction of a more affordable Rolls-Royce is nothing new. Indeed, it has been going on almost since the birth of the company 107 years ago. But while the Ghost clearly makes sense on the balance sheets of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and its BMW parent, a careful balancing act has been required to make it both authentic and profitable.
Unlike its Phantom big sister, which employs a unique aluminium spaceframe, the Ghost’s steel monocoque is related to that of the BMW 7-series. In it...Read the full article

Having owned 3 Bentley's and a RR drophead I find the ghost to be the finest
4 door sedan I have ever driven, I have slightly more than 3000 miles on it.
The handling and performance is stunning for such a large car, Bravo GoodWood!

Brash, gaudy, showy, flashy and far too conspicuous for these austere times. I'd be genuinely embarrassed to be seen in one of these. Definitely the second last word in bad/no taste (after the Phantom of course).

i disagree. If you are successful enough to be able to afford one of these, or something similarly expensive, then good on you and congratulations. I am not, possibly because i spend too much time on the Autocar forum and not enough time doing my job... although it may be also due to a lack of footballing/singing talent.

theres something reassuring about the boss buying a nice motor, this is the roller that really stands out for me, when I see someone driving a Phantom I assume theyre a chaffeur on the way to a wedding, this is much more likely to be used by an individual. Wonder how many will be in the United car park this season

"...but this is a Rolls, for goodness’ sake, and if ever a car was about the quality rather than the quantity of its performance, this is it." (Autocar)
...but we're going to spend the morning punting it sideways anyway...
I don't know, boys and (someone else's) toys.

Totally disagree as well. RR have never been understated and BMW is doing very well with it I think.
If you don't like how this one or the Phantom look you probably don't like Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini and many others....
Obviously this is fair enough but I do love RR to be honest and if I was 15 years older (I am 38) and I had enough money to spare I would definitely go for it. I think RR are a lot more special than Bentley.

What a truly extraordinary car! Since first seeing the Ghost, I've been blown away by its styling, presence and sheer masculine techno-grunt. Of course its got BMW bits and pieces and I say thank God for that. At least we know they're reliable and supported by the "other" manufacturer of the best cars in the world. A great achievement in the true British motoring tradition. Well done to the folks in Goodwood - you guys make us proud!
