How many 911s can a man comment upon at one sitting!

18.5 mpg test fuel consumption average, compared to 21 mpg combined official - stunning.

Porsche may make 60-yr old looking cars but its engineering ability is fantastic.

Crickey, judging by the rear wing's size & acute angle, it would seem that Porsche thinks that the 997 has rear-end stability problems - or the GT3 RS simply needs to make a 'statement'? I'd take my GT3 RS to a bodyshop, have the wing removed & its bolt 'oles filled/sprayed, thus ending up with a '70s RS's 'duck bill'-style wing - lovely!

They appear flat out in 6th just as light speed is approached.

Well GT3 RS, TURBO S, GT2 RS, this is a 911 overdose the 3 most extreme 911's made headlines in a week and what a surprise they look the same! That 911 range is broader than ever and somehow it is pointless in my opininon. Please porsche do something new these 3 models maybe extremely well engineered but i have had enough! There are so many beautiful shapes out there and so many configutarions available that a 50 year old shape with a flat six in the rear is seriously dated! Wake up!

I have to agree with PHILBY. What's the point?

From the 'base' Turbo to the GT2, there's £80k and less than half a second in the 0-60. You'd also be hard pressed to pick them out of a line-up. I assume that Porsche know what they're doing, and have a niche target audience for each model. As a layman, I suspect I (and most others) would be better off with a Carrera S and a few driving lessons.

AND...it would be nice to see a proper new Halo car, like the Carrera GT to top the range with no ambiguity.
