Hi having posted details on my recently aquired Nissan leaf.I will report,on my S type Jaguar 2.7d,which I have had for 3 months. This is my 2nd S type, previous one was the S type R.I think at the moment it is the best value car I would recommend for touring, fairly long distances,comfortable/refined/fairly "mature"old school roadholding. The only real problem is the slow response of the ,otherwise smooth acting auto gearbox. It gets caught out mostly at roundabouts.Has perfect gear ratios though.A thing you will forgive it for,but could be tricky in heavy traffic situations.Very impressed by the aftersales. Why buy an X.F.?I think people who have purchased one will be the type that will probably look after them, could be a future classic??They could be called "S TYPES"if you forgive the pun.
