Has Autocar ever awarded 5 stars in a car review?

The 4 1/2 stars of the Mclaren were given at the time of the inital road test.

They don't think the 911 Carrera S et al are "better" than the McLaren as such, just that they are better at what they do. I.e. The XFR is better at being a sports saloon than the F1 is at being a hypercar. In much the same way few people would say a Hyundai i10 is as good as a 5-series, but they both get the same star rating as they are equally good at the different jobs they were designed for.

The GT-R is the favorite drivers car in all of 08' yet it get 4-1/2 for they suddenly say it has suspect wet weather handling. Never said before of course just on that test. And the Gt-R can't pull away from the Focus rs as "its traction control" keeps stopping the GT-r!!

do they really believe that those cars are better than the F1 or is it just the age difference that made them forget how good the F1 really is????
