Great feature again by Autocar!  Being a sad anorak, I was comparing this year's times with those from 2008 and 2010.  All were set at the alpine circuit.  What puzzled me was why this year the time set by Steve Sutcliffe in the Megane RS 265 cup was 4 seconds slower than the 250 Cup time set by Mr Sutcliffe in 2010!

Over to you Steve, any ideas?

Also, I think praise is due to the Escort Cosworth, beating the GT86 by 4 seconds and showing cornering speeds close to those of the Megane.  Not bad at all for a 20 year old car.

The Escort RS Cosworth isn't one of those '90s cars that you say was fast back in its day. It's still fast today, and very forward-thinking. Now, most hot hatches have turbocharged 2.0 engines and 4WD! And since it's good compared to today's cars, it reminds you how good it was nearly 20 years ago. I was lucky enough to drive one back then and it's cars like that which make the world of motoring progress over the years.

As for Steve Sutcliffe achieving a slower time in a faster car, maybe he had a standing start in the 265bhp Megane. Or maybe he's getting slower.

The player goes round to every city, completing stamps and races. There are also several mini-games in which to participate, like golf. Players may also acquire parts to enhance the performance of their cars. Mauritius holiday
