So maybe in future we could try not to let everyone
Oh dear - so so sorry - really - never imagined. I only live in a backwards communist country (according to most) and get FP 1-2-3 and qually LIVE LIVE LIVE... I think that maybe because we have a PM about to become President - who has been seen to drive a F1 car publically!!! I doubt Cameron could even get into the cockpit..lol ( and if he did he would have to have Nick Clegg sitting under him !!)
Really though - didnt intend to spoil anything.
As for the one person who has been brave enough to fancy Slonso.. really!! you do have rose tinted glasses and your head in the clouds.. you dont happen to live in Marnello as well do you..
Well it was close - Nice to see two British flags on the front row for a change.
Not all of us have Sky, it's currently on the BBC now, highlights of qualifying. So maybe in future we could try not to let everyone know the result before it's been broadcast.
You could say 'well don't read this thread' but it's still nice to let people have a chance of the excitement of not knowing who's going to get pole while watching it live or highlighted.
Well it was close - Nice to see two British flags on the front row for a change. The HUGE surprises - Groesjan (have to check his spelling because this I dont believe was any fluke!!) - brilliant from the rookie with a middling car - as seen by his team mate who screwed up masterfully. Di Resta was a total disappointment for me. Slonso - put a big smile on my face - Schuey, please keep the chin off my screen - or I will need a 60 incher!! - RB were not sandbagging - and Horner had been very honest before hand - that he was unsure. Lot of work to do there. Biggest problem tomorrow - will be after or at 365 - not days but meters because thats the first corner!! I hate short starts to the first bend - This is an expensive game and wrecking a car in the first corner in the first race very very far from home seems a bit daft - dont blame the drivers totally - they have to win - and that means no *** footing.
SO.... lets keep this thread going .. answer the following
1) Which big name will be FIRST OUT of the race (first corner probably)
2) Who is going to be on the top step/2nd/3rd of the podium

And a note on the sky coverage. IMHO The qualifying session was good using the same format and approach as the BBC last year. The rest though was weak and badly put together, and I have no idea where they dragged up some of the support cast. If that is the 'sky treatment' then they can keep it.
Exciting qualifying for a season's opener. Mclaren came out as sandbagging masters over winter testing. While Hamilton gets top spot, Button looked smooth as ever, with a tiny mistake that cost him the pole. Third spot for the lotus is mighty impressive too.
Rosberg was on fire in the Merc, topping out way above the field.
Webber seems to deal much better than vettel with the understeering Redbull. Looks like we might have an exciting Sunday (dare i say season?) with a highly competative midfield.

Well it was close
But not close enough!
You keep pushing Hamilton out of the picture, tomorrows winner.
Weather will be fine tomorrow at Melbourne ( 23 C air temp), so I don't expect big surprises due to the rain.
I expect that all of them will be wise at the first corner, and Aloso jumping at 7 th place after the first corner.
Schumi will get the podium tomorrow, not more than 3rd.

I like your prediction, I am going to say though that 1) with be Alonso.

6 world champs. One out in Q3 ( with his inexperienced team mate 3rd ). One out in Q2 and the Red Bulls on the 3rd row. Didn't see that coming.

whilst he sits back cool and comfortable knowing he has a sackful of power and skill to throw it on the front row when its time. Damn...
Bit of a typo there, you've said front row, but I think you meant to say 6th place...
Do you think massa will last the season? Alonso out-qualified him sitting in the gravel trap.
