I would be surprised if he did.  Apart from a huge pile of cash and that its a Ferrari (if that floats your boat) Why would he?  A team he knows, a team mate he knows he can beat over a season and a car designed by Adrian Newey he would be mad to move.  I think for '13 he will stay put for '14 with the new regs there is a bigger chance he will jump.

As for next year I think Ferrari should take a punt on Perez, the boy's good.

I do not think he will jump ship.he would go from being

No 1 to number 2,Alonso will beat him and he knows that.

He may well get a lot more money but i am of the opinion

that is not the be all and end all for him.

Who will take the seat?,to be honest i do not know, there

are some good young guys but which one of them could

handle it?.

No. He would be soundly thrashed by Alonso and I don't think the Ferrari faithful would take to him like they have Fernando.

Alonso is at Ferrari until 2015, right? Assuming he retires at that point, Vettel will go to Ferrari then if it suits them.

A secondary note... Will Adrian Newey ever wind up at Ferrari? I know he's banged on about working at small teams, etc, but surely it would cap an already impressive career if he could desgin a championship winning car for Maranello.

Massa has been performing rather better of late - maybe nobody will be replacing him.

I'm surprised they haven't already made him an offer he can't refuse.

You know, I do believe that is a 'pec'...

Have you bumped your head?, the new Schumacher?,like Tiger Woods the current Golfing God, he is chasing a record which is getting further away yr on yr, too much talent etc,it's the almost the same in GP racing,Vettel.....7 titles?.......be nice, but there's too many variables, more talent coming along every year, getting older, maintaining form, being in the right car to win, just can;t see it.

I think Vettel is too tightly integrated into the Red Bull family to leave them at this time.  Maybe in a year or two, or when Herr Matesitchz finally gets bored of F1 and pulls the plug, but not yet.

I think Ferrari will definitely replace Massa.  Yes he has been getting better, but I think it is "too little, too late" for him for 2013.  They really wanted Webber, but he chose to stay at Red Bull.

It's a pity they burned their bridges with Kimi, as Alonso/Raikkonen would be a stunning combination.  There has been rumour of late, and Kimi appears to be stoking it, but I am sure that is just a ploy for his renegotiations with Lotus. Ferrari have said Perez is still too young, and Perez has not shown the consistency in recent races that could change their minds.  So they are looking for a one-year deal with an experienced driver - Kovaleinen (has partnered Alonso before), Sutil (has been to visit Maranello but they're apparently not that keen), Glock, Schumacher (unlikely, but maybe not as silly as it sounds) or even Kobayashi? Or...

I know it sounds unlikely, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly announced that Hamilton was joining them next year.  Hamilton and McLaren don't seem to be getting along well, despite a couple of good wins, and it may be that Luca offers him a bundle more money than Ron is prepared to offer.  Alonso is so firmly established at Maranello now, and Hamilton older/wiser and apparently keen to rebuild his image, that a repeat of 2007's dramas is unlikely.

I think Hamilton really wanted to go to Red Bull but they chose to keep Webber.  Despite his long history with McLaren, Hamilton makes no secret of his frustrations and the restrictive McLaren environment.  I think he envies the Red Bull image and perceived freedom that Vettel has, and imagines that it would suit him perfectly (plus the fact they've been the fastest car over the last 4 seasons!).

Disco Stu- as well argued as ever. Will be interesting to watch developments. Can you ever see McLaren allowing their drivers to keep trophies? Personally I can't.

Did you see that Button had a thing in the Mail on Sunday mago yesterday talking about life after F1? How many more seasons for him do you think?

People bang on about Hamilton like he's trapped and his spirit is being slowly drained by the McLaren machine! What a crock!

He's dull, he whines all the time and has never said anything, as far as I can recall, remotely interesting.

Fidji and him would get along except Fidji has probably won more WDC's than Hamilton, he's probably owned more Merc's too.
