Jaguar Land rover are making loads of money now why dont they go racing mabye with a racing xkr-s or f-type or a purpose built racer or mabye a top secret one is in develpment what do you think
Its an idea, they have all ready develped a XKR-S but i think they feel that there target market are no longer as in to motor racing as they once were, evidence of this can be seen in were you can no longer get a manual jaguar. Land Rover are getting in to motorsport because they have just partnered up with bowler.

I don't think the lack of a manual gearbox in the production cars precludes them from racing - I'm pretty sure the gearboxes in the Touring Cars aren't lifted straight from the production line...
'Race on Sunday, sell on Monday' is the old saying, but if your sales are already pretty high, why bother with the expense? Saying that, I'd love to see their return to Le Mans...
There was a factory-supported effort to race the XK in GT2 a few years ago, but it proved uncompetitive against Porsche and Ferrari.
There was chatter that they might return to LMP1 against Audi, Toyota, Porsche et al, but I don't know if there is anything concrete to that.
