Old Nelson Moderno has always believed a product live up to its name if the name makes a claim about the product. Should this rule apply to cars, and what cars already fall foul of this rule?
Here are the Forum Sealord's pick:
- Mitsubishi Carisma
- Fiesta Style
- Cavalier Commander
- Kangoo Sport
- AX GT
- B Class Elegance
- A Class Avantgarde
- Skoda Superb (ok, the new model actually is a good car but Superb?)
There must be better examples than these, but its the weekend and Ive had half a bottle of Lamb's Navy Rum tonight, kind of blunts the mind...

I had the AX GTi - in fact my ex wife had one too but not at the same time. It was a great little car and in many ways nicer to drive than the mark 2 Golf GTi we had about the same time.

Rover Vitesse

Austin Allegro (meaning cheerful or brisk and it was neither)
Wartburg Knight (only thing brave about it was the name)
Vauxhall Victor (distinctly run of the mill)

I see someone quoting a Peugeot 208 Allure on another thread....
I also laugh at all those Mitsibushi Warrior/Dominator/Intruder/Violator/Penetrator things. Some even have the name embossed onto the seats.

Vauxhall Nova Spin - possibly a comment on the handling, which may have been better suited to an early 205 GTI?
