De Tomaso Mangusto. Never seen one of these before but I want one.

That, along with the Pantera, was one of the cars I lusted after as a boy. Still looks good after all these years.

You know, I do believe that is a 'pec'...

Yeah I remember the Pantera, think it was in my Top Trumps Supercars pack. The best card was always the Countach though. :)

As I recall, the Mangusta handled like a pig with a very large bottom.  But much better looking than the Pantera in my view.

Stop it I feel old! These were the cars on my bedroom wall when I was a teenager (along with Suzi Quatro)! Was never a great Countache fan but loved De Tomaso and Maserati for their looks at the time. I used to write to every manufacturer and importer for brochures and pictures and most used to send stuff. I had a fantastic collection of old brochures that might still be at my parent's house. Ford were really good at sending out black and white A4 photos of their rally cars in action and I had a lot of those. I'll have to ask what's still there.

They all did in those days.

My mum used to work at a Volvo dealer so I had plenty of brochures of 240 GTL's, 740 Turbo Intercooler's....oi, wake up!

Oh and btw - it's a Mangusta - very surprised a classic car dealer got it wrong. The geek who does their website is obviously not a car fan or Italian speaker (cars are usually feminine in Italian).

Yeah, noticed they'd called it Mangusto in the advert headline but in the text further down Mangusta. Nevermind, it's still gorgeous. Have a look at some of their other cars, they've got some really nice exotica.

That's lovely. The forgotten Ferrari? By me anyway. The 288 GTO has always been my dream Ferrari but that 512 is retro cool. I'd take this but that old XK 140 in black is gorgeous too.
