Good luck, but one of you will need to be unemployed or retired in order to put in the hours that are necessary for this kind of thing.

It will take time for the site to grow but it will get there soon enough and it's a nice enough design for a new site.

Feedback. It looks a lot better than the Autocar website, so well done for that, and its got a good mix of stories etc. I hope you have done it to show Autocar the way, because without motoring writers of your own its going to be hard to be get your enthusiam across. As for a Forum, it needs lots of members with many points of view.

But as a first effort i am impressed and will add it to my favourites to keep an eye on it so how you can develope it.

Me too!

It's alright from a forum aspect as it has less faults than this one. Perhaps the designer should advertise themselves to Autocar as a web designer! Smile

I wish you the best of luck but you need a USP and/or unique motoring writers to generate traffic and for it to be sustainable. Maybe three of you video review the same car; link to YouTube and Facebook? I think LA is an occasional writer if memory serves me correctly. Perhaps try and persuade him to submit previous write-ups to the site?! Wink

Good luck!

The Autocar forum has gone so join some of us at thecarexpert.co.uk to continue the debate!

I've signed up for it; hope it all goes well.  What it looks like is pretty much the sort of update most of us wanted from the Autocar forum.  Hopefully you guys have the time to keep it going.

Are you going to be writing your own content? If not the site has little worth other than as an outlet for those disgruntled with the Autocar revamp. Can't really say much about it either way as it's not much more than an enthusiastic exercise in copy and paste as it stands. And white type on black might look real sexy but it's an absolute headache in the making if you spend any length of time reading it.

You know, I do believe that is a 'pec'...

Clicking on the 'About' section, you've spelled discuss wrong and missed a capital T on The.  Probably would want capital D and C everytime you mention Drivers Car too, assuming it's two words.

Doesn't bother me but just a bit of feedback. Presumably you want it looking as professional as possible. Best of luck with it.
