What happened to Autocar?

At what point did Autocar become a magazine where one more version of a VW Golf became top billing and the fact that McLaren are right up there with the best that Ferrari can produce while at the height of their powers is the least interesting story in this week's magazine? Is your collective world view really this depressing?
