This week in Autocar magazine: full details on the Jaguar F-type; Britain's best used cars; the inside line on the best cars at the Paris show; new Audi A3 road tested

This week’s special 116-page Autocar magazine features a two-pronged attack – both the first images of the new Jaguar F-Type, plus a huge 18-page used car buying special by James Ruppert star on the cover.

The Jaguar F-Type is the most eagerly anticipated car launch of 2013, and we reveal the first images of the car, plus the first details ahead of the Paris motor show later this week.

Other pre-Paris news includes details of the new Audi S3, latest news on the next generation Mini, news on Alpine’s imminent return and the inside line on the mooted new Audi Q2.

Ruppert’s buying guide tackles how to spot a great buy, details how the used car industry has changed and outlines his top 50 tips for buying. There’s something in there for every budget, starting at just £400 and rising to over £100k – but which car is his ultimate used buy?

Other highlights include the full road test of the new Audi A3, first drives of the new Ford Fusion, which will go on sale here as the Ford Mondeo, the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake, the three-door Hyundai i30 and the Hyundai Veloster Turbo. We also take a Bentley Mulsanne on track – with spectacular results.

oh dear

I suspect with this cheaper platform for the 'community' and the constant promotion of the printed magazine suggests that the title is in hard times.

My suggestion, update the platform, make it more webexclusive and get the brands involved. SEO and banner advertising is one thing, but AC needs to move to the next level.
