One of the biggest motor shows of the year, the Paris motor show this week will feature new model debuts from Audi, Jaguar, Ford and many more

The 2014 Paris motor show opens on Thursday and Autocar will be there to bring you all the latest new car reveals, pictures and industry news from the event.

Among the most-anticipated new car reveals are the Jaguar XE, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Volvo XC90 and the Mercedes-AMG GT

There'll also be concept cars, facelifted models and some surprises at the show, which takes place at the Paris expo in Porte de Versailles.

Below is our current list of the new models expected at the Paris motor show. If you're heading to the show, let us know what you're looking forward to seeing in the comments section below, and read more Paris motor show news here.

Audi TT Roadster

Priced from around £32,000, the TT Roadster will go on sale soon after its debut this week. Adopting the same style as the latest TT Coupe, the Roadster's fabric roof can rise in just ten seconds at speeds of up to 31mph, and is controlled by a button in the cabin. UK engines will include a turbocharged 2.0-litre direct injection petrol with 227bhp in the standard TT Roadster, and a more potent 306bhp version in the TTS.

Audi TT Sportback concept

We've only seen reportedly-official design sketches of Audi's headline TT concept car so far, but the TT Sportback could well show Audi's plans to expand its TT family beyond the traditional coupé or Roadster models. It'll be the third in a series of concepts which have also included the TT Allroad Shooting Brake and the TT Offroad, which were revealed earlier this year.

Audi A6/S6 facelift

The hot S6 saloon is in line for a mild facelift, with revisions focusing on a tweaked front-end design and new LED headlights. Power from its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine could be upgraded, too, to around 429bhp. That means an improvement on the current 0-62mph time of 4.6 seconds is likely.

Bentley Mulsanne Speed

Available later this year for £252,200, the Mulsanne Speed gets more power from its 6.75-litre V8 engine, with total output now pushed to 530bhp. Billed as "the fastest ultra-luxury driving experience in the world", the Mulsanne Speed can reach 60mph in 4.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 190mph.

BMW X6

BMW's latest upmarket SUV was due to launch at the Moscow motor show, but executives decided to delay the car's debut until this week's show. It's due to go on sale in the UK at the end of this year, priced from £51,150, and powered by three engines at launch.

BMW says its new open-top 2-series is a more "grown up and prestigious car" than the 1-series convertible it replaces. Due to go on sale in the UK this month at a starting price of £29,180, the 2-series convertible has the same dimensions as the 2-series coupé.

Citroën Divine DS

Showing off the future of Citroën's DS brand, the Divine DS concept car is based on a standard C-segment hatchback, but doesn't preview any particular new model. Instead, the concept shows the future styling direction the DS brand will take for its models.

Citroën C1 Urban Ride

Citroën will showcase the personalisation options open to C1 owners with the Urban Ride concept, which features SUV-inspired styling. It's raised up by 15mm compared to the standard car, and also gets a wider track, new wheel arch and bumper trim and new front fog lights. It'll be shown in both standard an open-top Airscape forms.

Citroën C4 Cactus Airflow 2L

The French firm's answer to the same 141mpg challenge which has also inspired concepts from Peugeot and Renault, Citroën has turned its C4 Cactus into a technology concept capable of returning "over 141mpg". The lightweight oncept, which weighs 100kg less than the standard Cactus, features a Hybrid Air powertrain similar to the type used in Peugeot's 2008 concept driven by Autocar.

Ferrari 458 Speciale A

Just 499 examples of this open-top Ferrari 458 Speciale will be made, with prices expected to start from around £228,500. Powered by the same naturally-aspirated V8 engine as the regular 458, the 458 Speciale A gets 597bhp and 398lb ft. It's claimed to reach 62mph in just 3.2 seconds, the same as the 458 Speciale coupé.

Fiat 500X

Due to go into production early next year, the Fiat 500X is the sister car to the new Jeep Renegade. It will complete the Fiat 500 family line-up, sitting alongside the current 500L. While engine options have yet to be revealed, expect them to come from Fiat's existing MultiAir diesel and TwinAir petrol offerings.

Ford C-Max

Mild updates for Ford's C-Max and Grand C-Max aim to offer better interior quality and a more dynamic driving experience. New front-end styling includes a revised grille, headlight clusters and bonnet, while the cabin gets Ford's SYNC 2 infotainment system and far fewer buttons. Those changes are echoed on the larger seven-seat Grand C-Max, which features sliding rear doors.

Ford S-Max

The new Ford S-Max MPV will go on sale in the UK next summer with prices starting from around £25,000. It's based on a new platform known as CD4, which also underpins the upcoming new Mondeo as well as the Edge SUV and Galaxy replacement. A super-luxury Vignale version is also on the way.

Honda Civic facelift

Sitting at the top of Honda's revised Civic range is a new Civic Sport model, which borrows styling elements which will feature on next year's Civic Type R. Other changes in the range include new front and rear headlight graphics, new bumpers and side skirts, a new spoiler finish and updated interior trim.

Honda HR-V

Honda's reborn HR-V crossover is based on a modified version of the platform used by the new Jazz, and will go on sale in the UK early next year. Its Paris debut comes eight years after the original went out of production, though the new model is already on sale in some markets badged as Vezel.

Honda Jazz

Although officially described as a prototype, the car which Honda will unveil at the Paris show is very close to production. The new Jazz is already on sale in other markets, where it wears the Fit badge, with UK sales due to start next summer. Honda is promising improved refinement and more space for the third-generation supermini.

Honda Civic Type R

Officially still described as a concept car, this latest Type R offers a thinly-veiled preview of the range-topping hot hatchback which will go on sale in the UK next year. The production version is currently undergoing testing, with its development team having targeted the Nürburgring's front-wheel drive record, which is currently held by Renault.

Hyundai i20

Priced from around £10,500, Hyundai's all-new compact hatch will look to take on the class-leading Ford Fiesta when it goes on sale in the UK early next year. Initially offered only in five-door form, a three-door version will join the range later. Expect an N-badged performance version to come along soon after launch, too.

Infiniti Q80 Inspiration

The Japanese car maker looks set to take on the Porsche Panamera with its new concept car, dubbed Q80 Inspiration. Envisioned as a range-topping four-seat fastback, the Q80 concept previews a new production model which will arrive in 2017 or 2018.

Jaguar XE

Although we've already see Jaguar's new BMW 3-series rival in the metal at its London unveiling, it's likely Paris will be the first time the public will have to see the car. Powered by a new range of 'Ingenium' engines and underpinned by a new lightweight architecture, the XE will go on sale in the UK early next year with prices starting at £27,000.

Kia Sorento

Kia's third-generation Sorento SUV gets the same Cross GT concept-inspired front-end styling as the new Sedona MPV, and is expected to go on sale at the start of next year. Facing competition from the likes of the Nissan X-Trail and Mitsubishi Outlander, the Sorento is likely to feature a more upmarket interior to take on more premium rivals.

Lamborghini concept

Lamborghini has so far only hinted at a possible new model for the Paris show. The sketch shows only the outline of a car, but is accompanied by the statement: "Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it". That implies that the Sant'Agata manufacturer may expand its range with a new 2+2 model which would echo the 400GT from the 1960s.

Land Rover Discovery Sport

Revealed earlier this month, the seven-seat Land Rover Discovery Sport will go on sale in January with prices starting at £32,395. First deliveries are expected towards the middle of this year. The tech-laden Discovery Sport comes with a new kind of infotainment system plus a new pedestrian airbag on the bonnet.

Mazda MX-5

Mazda's fourth-generation Roadster will enter the market next July, based on a new rear-wheel-drive chassis and powered by two petrol engines from Mazda's SkyActiv range. It's around 100kg lighter than the previous model, and is also over 100mm shorter.

Mercedes-Benz B-class

The updated B-class MPV will go on sale in the UK earlier next year, and receives mild styling changes inside and out as well as a new electric version co-developed with Tesla. The standard car will continue to be sold exclusively with four-cylinder engines.

Mercedes-Benz S500

Due to go on sale in the UK in November at a price of around £89,000, the S500 plug-in hybrid has a claimed electric-only range of 20 miles. Using a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, the S-class is also claimed to return more then 100mpg yet can reach 62mph in 5.2 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG C63

The C63 super-saloon is the latest model to be placed under the new Mercedes-AMG performance banner. It runs a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine and will be offered in two states of tune - providing 469bhp in the C63 and 503bhp in the C63 S. Official performance figures place the saloon's 0-62mph sprint time at 4.1 seconds, the same as the BMW M3, with the estate reaching the same speed in 4.2 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG GT

Due to go on sale in the UK early next year at a starting price of around £95,000, the long-awaited successor to the Mercedes SLS supercar runs a new twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine with 456bhp in standard form, rising to 503bhp in the more hardcore GT S variant.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept-S

Previewing what is likely to become the facelifted Outlander PHEV, Mitsubishi's Concept-S features styling inspired by the recent XR-PHEV and GC-PHEV concept cars. The model gets black wood and leather trim with silver accents inside, but keeps the standard Outlander PHEV's 200bhp hybrid powertrain.

Peugeot 208 Hybrid Air

Building on the 2008 Hybrid Air concept which Autocar drove earlier this year, Peugeot has now used the technology in its 208 hatchback. Part of the same 141mpg challenge which has spawned Renault's Eolab concept, the 208 Hybrid Air is based on the 1.2-litre Puretech 82 208 model.

Peugeot 308 GT

This warmer variant of the 308 is available in both hatchback and SW body styles, and goes on sale in the UK shortly after its Paris debut. As well as various bodywork adjustments and new interior fittings, the 308 GT also gets a pair of new 1.6-litre engines, with as much as 202bhp available in some forms.

Peugeot Exalt

The original Exalt concept made its debut at the Beijing motor show earlier this year, and showed off Peugeot's eco-friendly vision of a hybrid sports car which could yet make limited production. For Paris, Peugeot has re-skinned the concept with new materials, including interior trim fashioned from recycled newspapers.

Peugeot Quartz

Featuring a plug-in hybrid transmission and radical design cues, the Quartz is Peugeot's vision of a new high-performance SUV. Power comes from a four-cylinder, 1.6-litre THP 270 engine working in conjunction with two electric motors. Total output is rated at 493bhp, and different driving modes can be used to maximise performance.

Porsche Cayenne facelift

Order books have already opened for the facelifted Porsche SUV, which will make its way to UK showrooms following its Paris debut. A new 410bhp petrol-electric S E-Hybrid model joins the range, while reworked petrol and diesel engines offer greater fuel efficiency.

Renault Eolab

The French manufacturers answer to a challenge to put a car capable of returning 141mpg into production by 2020, the Eolab is claimed to be able to return 282mpg, and emits just 22g/km of CO2. The concept previews a new B-segment model which will arrive within the next ten years.

Renault Espace

The reinvented Espace has taken on more of a crossover appearance for its Paris debut, and will be available in both five and seven-seat forms. Renault has already confirmed it won't be coming to the UK, but in the rest of Europe it'll arrive with a "brightly lit, comfortable and modular" cabin and styling from the Initiale Paris concept.

Skoda Fabia

Sales of Skoda's new Fabia hatchback will get under way early next year, with prices starting from around £10,000. In its most frugal form, the Fabia will be capable of returning a headline-grabbing 91mpg. Both lower and wider than the outgoing model, the new Fabia comes with a 330-litre boot and is based on the same platform as the revamped VW Polo.

Smart Fortwo and Forfour

The launch of these two city cars marks something of a rebirth for the Smart brand. The new Forfour will take on the Renault Twingo (with which it shares mechanical underpinnings), Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroën C1. The design of both Fortwo and Fourfour are heavily influenced by a string of concept cars dating back to 2011.

SsangYong X100 concepts

Two SsangYong concept cars, dubbed XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure, will offer a final thinly-veiled look at the firm's upcoming Nissan Juke rival before it goes on sale in the middle of next year. The X100 is expected to go on sale for around £12,500, sitting below the Korando in SsangYong's UK line-up.

Suzuki Vitara

Due to go on sale in the UK next year, Suzuki's new compact crossover will look to take on the Nissan Juke, Vauxhall Mokka and Ford EcoSport, and wears the Vitara badge. Toyota C-HR

Toyota's new crossover concept could take the Auris Cross name for production, which is scheduled for 2017. Sitting below the RAV4 compact SUV in the firm's line-up, the C-HR concept also previews a new set of design themes which will appear on the firm's future models.

Vauxhall Corsa

Due to go on sale in the UK during the same month as its Paris debut, the new Corsa has its sights squarely set on the Ford Fiesta, as it looks to take that car's crown as the best-selling car in the UK. Expected to cost less than £10,000 in base form, the new Corsa features a new turbocharged 1.0-litre powerplant in its engine range.

Vauxhall Adam S

We've already seen the more potent Adam S in pre-production form at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, but Vauxhall will show the definitive version in Paris. Powered by a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine developing 148bhp and 162lb ft, the Adam S can cover the 0-62mph sprint in 8.5 seconds. Other features include VXR performance brakes, sports suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Volkswagen Passat

The eight-generation Passat has gone upmarket in a significant shift, as VW looks to take on the likes of BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Entry-level models are expected to cost around £22,000, with the initial saloon and estate models joined by Alltrack versions as well as a new third-generation CC in 2015.

Volkswagen Polo GTI

The revised Polo GTI goes on sale in October, with upgrades including a new turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine developing 189bhp, as well as the option of a six-speed manual transmission. Official performance figures give the Polo GTI a 0-62mph sprint time of 6.7 seconds, along with a higher top speed of 147mph.

Volkswagen Passat GTE

Capable of returning a claimed 141mpg, the GTE will go on sale in the UK in the second half of next year. Power comes from the same petrol-electric hybrid system as the Golf GTE, meaning a turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine working in conjunction with an electric motor, developing a combined 215bhp and 295lb ft.

Volkswagen Golf Alltrack

Due to go on sale in the UK next year for around £23,000, the high-riding Golf Alltrack features rugged styling and off-road inspired bodywork. Based on the Golf Estate, the Alltrack gets its power from a range of three turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the highest-powered of which develops 181bhp.

Volvo XC90

Developed as part of a £6.5 billion investment programme, Volvo's second-generation XC90 will go on sale in the UK early next year with first deliveries expected in May. Topping the range will be a T8-badged hybrid model, but the most popular version is expected to be the D5, which comes with 225bhp and four-wheel drive.
