It’s available in a choice of three exterior finishes – ‘dark forest’, ‘vermillion red’ and ‘crystal silver’ – and also includes side protection mouldings ‘to guard against the rough and tumble of city motoring,’ according to Toyota.

Powering the top-spec Aygo is the company’s 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine.

Prices for the Toyota Aygo Ice start from £9750 for the three door variant with manual gearbox, climbing to £10,615 for the five-door version with Toyota’s multimode ‘box.
