The Jaguar XK Artisan SE gets an upgraded leather interior and special colour options

Jaguar has revealed special edition coupe and convertible versions of the XK, called the Jaguar XK Artisan SE.

The main changes are to the interior, which gets ‘scraffito’ (a special textured finish) leather on the front seats, instrument binnacle, door and rear quarter casings, as well as leather headlinings and two new veneer finishes.

Standard features including a 525W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, 16 by 16 way adjustable heated seats, a heated steering wheel and keyless entry/start. The special edition also has some exclusive interior and hood colour options. The Jaguar XK Artisan SE also gets special edition treadplates and stainless steel pedals.

Exterior tweaks include a new design of 20in alloys and the option of a special-edition paint colour, Celestial Black. The alternative body colours on offer are white and silver. There are no tweaks to the XK’s five-litre, 385bhp V8 powerplant.

Prices start at £77,350 for the Jaguar XK Artisan SE coupe and £82,500 for the convertible.

Sounds like run-out models, which is appropriate as the XK is a bit 'venerable' now - but I don't see a replacement round the corner. What's 'scraffito' leather? I don't see anything about the leather in the interior shot that fits the conventional use of the word in art.

Porsche et al bring out no end of special edition models, so if it makes Jaguar more money, I say why not?

So I have got leather beneath me, behind me, to the sides of me, above me and now all over the dash... what next, a leather windscreen?

It's still such a desirable car.

Cor! The XK looks especially lovely in black (which is a PITA to keep clean, mind).

All these special editions that so many manufacturers are bringing out. Soon it will be much more exclusive to be the person driving the regular model

Every bodies missed the point of this car...... it can fly!

I guess the wording from the title came straight from the press pack / e-mail.

Joking aside, it's a nice looking package for anyone in the market for this sort of car and doesn't seem to be any better or any worse than a whole host of other manufacturers special editions.

It's all about the twisties........

Special edition or otherwise this is the most desirable XK to date imo.The interior needs an update though. :)
