Mid-life refresh of the Nissan GT-R may receive 'over 500bhp'

The mid-life refresh of the Nissan GT-R will feature a power hike as well as tweaked styling and new interior trim options.

Nissan is keeping details of the extra power to itself – although rumours suggest it might rise to over 500bhp.

The design tweaks are intended to flow more cooling air into the engine bay, which suggests the power might rise substantially. Also improved is the aerodynamics with a new front airdam, rear bumper and improved diffuser.

The nose of the GT-R now looks much higher quality with well-finished carbon-fibre inserts in the grille, new brake-cooling ducts and LED daylight running lights.
