Suzuki has announced a brace special edition Swifts. Based on the 1.2-litre model in SZ3 trim, the SZ-L comes with unique alloy wheels and a roof spoiler, and is limited to 500 examples. The SZ-R is based on the range-topping 1.6-litre Swift Sport and is finished in black with contrasting red roof and door mirrors, and is limited to 100 cars. They are to be unveiled at this month’s Autosport International show at the NEC, Birmingham.

No decision has yet been made whether to introduce the Qoros brand to the UK market. The Chinese manufacturer will unveil the Qoros GQ3, a Volkswagen Jetta-rivalling saloon at the Geneva motor show in March.

Technology company Visteon is to unveil its New Vehicle concept at this month's US Consumer Electronics Show. It features e-Bee, the firm’s latest innovation, which repackages the heating and ventilation systems to free up large amounts of passenger space.

Peugeot has launched a new special edition 208, called Intuitive. Starting from £14,245 it is available in three and five door guises and comes with a choice of 1.2-litre petrol, and 1.4 or 1.6-litre diesel engines. Standard fit equipment includes sat-nav, Park Assist, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone automatic air-conditioning.
