The new Honda Civic Tourer will cost from £20,265 when it goes on sale next month.
The car will be available with either a 150bhp 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine developing 128lb ft of torque, or a 118bhp i-DTEC diesel unit developing 221lb ft.
The 1.6-litre diesel returns up to 74.3mpg on a combined cycle, emits 99g/km of CO2 and has a range of 817 miles. The 1.8-litre petrol, meanwhile, returns up to 45.6mpg and emits 149g/km of CO2. Honda says it expects the Civic Tourer to account for one in every four Honda Civic sales.
Four trim levels are available, starting with entry-level S trim which equips the standard car with Bluetooth, a DAB radio and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The SE Plus trim, available from £21,950, grants extras including rear parking sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels. SR trim adds the Civic Tourer's automatic adaptive damper system, front heated seats and satellite navigation. Prices for SR trim start at £24,350.
Top-spec EX Plus trim includes headlight washers and a keyless entry and ignition system alongside ambient lighting and bi-HID headlights.
Honda is also offering two upgrade packages full of safety technology. From SE spec upwards, the £780 driver assistance safety pack includes active city braking, a forward collision warning system, lane departure warning and a blind spot monitor.
For top-spec cars, automatic cruise control and an accident-avoiding braking system can be added at extra cost.
The entry-level Civic Tourer 1.8 i-VTEC in standard S specification costs £20,265, rising to £26,250 for the same engine in top-spec EX Plus trim.
Meanwhile diesel engine options start from £21,375 for the 1.6 i-DTEC in standard trim, rising to £27,460 for EX Plus specification.
The Civic Tourer will be available to order from December, with the first deliveries expected in February 2014. The car will look to compete with the Skoda Octavia estate in the UK.
