On sale 2011; styling to be 'more masculine'

The Beetle, which will go on sale next year, is not expected to be a radical departure from the current model.

VW reveals hybrid Jetta coupe

"The design will change, slightly but there won't be anything too surprising," said a VW source. "It will have more interior space and slightly different proportions.

"The main aim is to make the design more masculine, to appeal to more buyers."

Just over one million current VW Beetles have been sold in the past 10 years.

So no change then.
Is the Jetta not based on Golf platform which also means a plethora of models available via VAG?

The Jetta is based on the Golf. But this is the Detroit show, where the Americans don't do hatchbacks, so they'll say it's based on the Jetta.

What a stupid article. The Jetta is based on the Golf platform, so its the same bloody thing.
