Tesla is to open its third showroom today, in New York.
The electric sports car maker already has showrooms in California and London, and the latest store is one of a number planned around the world as Tesla continues to expand its business.

Its Roadster has performed strongly so far, with more than 500 cars delivered to customers, and its Model S saloon is set to follow in 2011.
Daimler recently acquired a 9.1 per cent share of Tesla and it has just sold 40 per cent of this stake to Abu Dhabi-based Aabar Investments.
“This investment allows Daimler and Aabar to leverage their shared interest in the development of low-CO2 drive systems,” said the two companies.
