HRT has revealed its new 2011 F1 car, dubbed F111

Hispania Racing has released digital images of its new F1 car, dubbed the F111.

It will use an all-new chassis, and features a striking colour scheme of mostly white with a chequered flag and red inserts towards the back, very different to the previous F110 model’s grey.

After difficulty in making the grid last season, HRT is confident that the new car will help with the team’s progress, by way of team principal Colin Kolles working hard to set the foundations for a more successful 2011.

According to Kolles, “The F111 represents a significant step forward for Hispania Racing. We have made a big improvement for starting our second season in Formula 1 and what you see in our new car confirms Hispania Racing’s commitment to F1.”

Kolles also said that the 2010 car will be utilised at the first test, and that the team will implement the F111 when it is ready: “The plan is to use the 2011 car at the Bahrain test,” he said.

One of the car’s sponsors includes Tata Motors, backers of new HRT driver Narain Karthikeyan.
