Jeep has launched lightly facelifted versions of the Patriot and Compass at the Detroit motor show in a bid to improve sales of both cars in their last year of production.

The Patriot (which is not sold in the UK) and Compass both get an optional six-speed automatic gearbox, which directly replaces the CVT unit. Both cars get safety upgrades and the Compass receives some light cosmetic changes to the design of the lights and interior and more options, including a reversing camera and 18-inch wheels.
