Seat is previewing a proposed FR version of its new Seat Mii city car at Volkswagen Group’s annual Worthersee tuning festival in Austria this week.
The one-off Mii is more an FR trim level than an FR performance model, as the changes are purely cosmetic, the concept using the same engine and chassis settings as the standard Mii.
The Worthersee Mii gets a striking Tornado Red paint finish, and a bodykit that includes flared black wheelarches. Other changes include new lightweight 16in aluminium alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler.
The red and black theme is carried over inside for the cabin trim. There are new sports seats for the driver and front passenger with FR badging.
Although not initially destined for showrooms, a Mii FR is a distinct possibility for production given Seat’s sporty position. The Worthersee concept is “testing the water” for a production model according to a source, but any Mii FR that could reach showrooms will feature, like the concept, purely cosmetic changes.
