More likely built to prove that Volkswagen could, rather than because it needed to, but an appealing oddity all the same. Not an MPV (that’s the Touran’s role), rather a tall Golf with vast cabin and some added flexibility. Two-litre GTi is the pick, but by then the price is soaring dangerously towards large MPV territory.
