Underneath it’s a VW Polo but on top it wears a new suit of clothes. The chassis is tuned to give it a bit more Spanish flair too. A spirited supermini that’s tough and good value, though the ride in town is a bit harsh. There’s a Cupra version for those who like it hot, with VAG’s ubiquitous 1.8-litre turbo, which in this iteration has 180bhp.
