The takeover/makeover of Daewoo goes up a class with the Focus/Golf-sized Lacetti and proves that you can make a respectably modern looking hatchback or estate out of a rag bag of old Vauxhall bits. Unsurprisingly, though, it feels not unlike an old Vauxhall to drive. Hardly bad, but no Focus.
