Vauxhall has released its new ‘Unlimited’ option for the hardcore Vauxhall Insignia VXR.
Much like the iconic Lotus Carlton, the Insignia Unlimited will top out at 170mph, thanks to the complete removal of the standard car’s 155mph restrictor.

For just £250, the Unlimited option is available for the hatch, saloon or sports tourer guises. Other features include a blue Brembo logo on its front brake callipers and a newly-designed speedometer, showing higher increments.
The turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 engine produces 321bhp, enough to launch the four-wheel-drive Insignia VXR Unlimited to 60mph in 5.6 sec.

Vauxhall’s group product manager Stuart Harris said, “For those owners who enjoy driving on the continent, the Unlimited option lets them experience the Insignia VXR’s true top speed, combined with the peerless stability and secure handling that only an all-wheel-drive chassis can offer.”
The Insignia VXR upgrade is available at Vauxhall dealerships now.
