Five hot Focuses pay homage to Ford's Le Mans history

These five special edition Ford Focus RSs have been created to celebrate the company's history at the Le Mans 24 Hour race.

Each car has a special livery replicating that of a Ford race car from different eras.

The Focus RS in black with white stripes and gold rims echoes the 1966 GT40 Mk II.

The red car with white stripes marks the the 1967 Mark IV.

The white car with a thin blue centre stripe and red border pays homage to the 1967 GT40 Mk IIB.

The two-tone sky blue and orange car is a replica of the dominant GT40s of 1968 and 1969.

The two tone white and blue car mimics the Capri RS 2600 which took the Touring category victory in 1972.

All five also get a special interior, including Recaro seats upholstered in leather and diamond-quilted alcantara with stitching. There is also more extensive use of leather in the interior.

The cars will run at the 2010 Le Mans Classic in July before being put on sale. No prices have been released.

history becomes irrelevent when the current form projects an image of undesirability.

the argument of all RS focus being sold out is not representative desirability, only that the numbers available were few, and were desirable to a minority.

Except Ford extended the original production run by 3000 cars to satisfy demand.

no my argument shows the audi and bmw are better, price is irrelevant.

Well in that case...

Ford GT 0-60mph 3.3s 0-100mph 7.4s

Audi R8 0-60mph 4.1s 0-100mph 8.9s

BMW M3 0-60mph 4.7s 0-100mph 10.2s

Your argument is totally flawed.

in terms of quality and taste and performance, cant go wrong with an S3, at only £600 more than the focus RS. well worth the money.

already faster on road and track than the focus, but i would still use superchips to take the engine to 337bhp and 433NM stage 3 tune.

Try £2000 pounds for the s manual or £3000 for the tronic (all prices base and + options), dear god you talk some crap when it comes to the RS!

who cares about track times what about usable power when it comes to actual road driving barely nothing in it! Only 433Nm, the RS has 440Nm u- modified, this is real usable power.
