Suzuki has added a 1.9-litre diesel engine to its Grand Vitara range.

The 1.9 DDiS unit reduces CO2 emissions from 191g/km to 185g/km compared to the existing unit, while combined fuel economy has also been improved to 40.4mpg.

It will be available in two different trim levels; SZ4 and SZ5. Both include 18-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps; in-dash 6CD changer with MP3 connectivity, heated leather seats and automatic climate control air conditioning.

The new model costs from £17,975 in SZ4 trim and £19,475 in SZ5 trim.
