Meet the 281bhp Seat Cupra
14 April 2008
This is the Seat Leon Copa, which takes the Cupra’s 2.0TSi engine up to 281bhp from the standard car’s 237bhp.
Inspired by the Seat Supercopa series, a one-make European racing championship, the Copa Edition gets Eibach springs, uprated brakes and new bodykit. Its engine tweaks cut the Leon’s 0-62mph to just 5.9sec.
Don’t get your hopes up, though; this super-Cupra won’t be coming to the UK. Instead it will be staying in Switzerland, where it was developed; Only 55 Copas will be produced and sold for the equivalent of £31,000.
