Porsche went to extreme measures to unveil its Panamera four-door to a select group of the world’s media this week.
The plan was to take the wraps off the car on the 94th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Centre in China, but getting it there was never going to be easy.
But Porsche clearly likes a challenge and decided to stand the new saloon on its end and wedge it into a freight elevator.
The car could then be sent 425 metres skyward and removed on a special pallet to be presented on what is described as the world’s highest event platform.
The Panamera goes on sale in the UK on 12 September 2009.
