These are the first official pictures of the new Porsche 911 GT2, the fastest and most powerful 911 ever built for the road.
Brochure shots leaked out from Porsche USA on 12 July, and Porsche GB consented to release these shots late on the afternoon of 13 July, with any media release schedule they might have set having gone up in smoke.
The best images can be found in our wallpapers section so, if you like the look of Stuttgart’s hottest-ever 911, you can decorate your desktop with it.
Porsche GB also confirmed a few other details for us; the GT2 will go on sale in the UK in November 2007, but it’ll cost a little more than we’d anticipated: try £131,070.
That sets up the Porsche 911 GT2 perfectly for a meeting with a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera and the forthcoming Ferrari F430 Challenge Stradale early in 2008. Our palms are already sweating at the prospect.
