Peugeot has appointed a new CEO, and restructured its management, in a bid to achieve a triple whammy of goals by 2015.

Vincent Rambaud, 51, has been promoted from the role of director of PSA Peugeot Citroen's Latin American zone to take the top job at Peugeot. He will report directly to Jean-Marc Gales, marques director at PSA Peugeot Citroen, after taking up the post on 2 April.

Peugeot has given itself three ambitions by 2015: to move up three places in the world car manufacturer rankings, to "make Peugeot a style benchmark" and to become a leader in mobility services.

Gales said, "Vincent Rambaud's international experience will be a strong factor in successfully meeting the challenge of Peugeot's globalisation, at a time when the marque, on the strength of a new identity and a totally revamped, expanded range, is rediscovering a growth dynamic."

Peugeot is also restructuring its general management, into four divisions: France, led by Olivier Veyrier, northern Europe, under the direction of Olivier Dardart, southern Europe, fronted by Rafael Prieto, and International (including Latin America, China, Russia and Africa) managed by Jean-Philippe Imparato.

The firm is retaining five 'specialist' divisions: marketing and communication, business to business, used vehicles, network development and quality, and parts and service sales.
