Mercedes’ gullwinged SLS supercar has been shown in the UK for the first time.
The Mercedes SLS AMG was on show yesterday as part of the firm’s Powered by Mercedes-Benz event, which celebrated the firm’s involvement in motorsport.

It lined up alongside several examples of the classic Mercedes 300SL at Brooklands, a car which has inspired the latest model.
The red model was on display in left-hand drive guise and is set to go on sale in the UK in July, with an estimated price tag of around £150,000.
