Kia has announced three cars for Geneva: the redesigned Carnival/Sedona MPV, which goes on sale this summer; the refreshed Sorento SUV and a five-door Focus-size concept car to be revealed at the show.

On sale in America since last year, the Sedona is taller, wider and shorter than the previous model. It features seven seats, a powered tailgate and powered sliding rear doors. There are two new engines – one petrol and one diesel, both with 182bhp.

The Sorento has received a shot of extra power with 21 per cent more grunt for the 167bhp diesel and a new 231bhp 3.3-litre petrol V6. The interior and exterior have both been revised. Saleswise, the Sorento isn’t such a pale presence – Kia sold 144,000 of them worldwide last year.
