Ford has expanded its Mondeo Econetic range with the addition of a new top-of-the-range Titanium spec model.

The Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 115PS TDCi gets the same 113bhp 2.0 TDCi engine as the regular Econetic model. This means CO2 emissions of 139g/km and combined fuel economy of 54.3mpg.

Standard features are identical to those found in the regular Titanium Mondeo, but with the addition of Econetic tweaks. It gets 16-inch lightweight alloys as standard, with the option of 17s.

Other additions include an optimal gearchange indicator to try and maximise efficiency, aerodynamically optimised sports suspension and air deflectors and a rear spoiler for the five-door model.

The new model is priced from £23,295 for the five-door and £24,545 for the estate.
