Ferrari has made the HGTE handling kit for the 599 GTB Fiorano available as a standalone package for older models.

Tweaks to the handling include lower suspension, stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bars, lightweight alloy wheels and special HGTE tyres which offer eight per cent more grip.

Performance upgrades are only available on post-2008 cars; they include new exhaust silencers with two-tone finish tailpipes, an enhanced F1-style gearshift with a quicker response time, and modified throttle mapping for faster accelerator response.

A new chrome-lined front grille and redesigned front and rear Ferrari badges also feature.

Prices for the Ferrari 599 HGTE package start at £17,123 on pre-2008 cars and at £19,703 on post-2008 cars.
