Citroen's warm supermini, the C2 VTS, has now been around for nearly three years; long enough, it seems, for interest in the car to begin to wane. Citroen is therefore attempting to restore a bit of that interest by creating a dolled-up, cut price special edition of the SportKa-rivalling tearaway called the C2 Code.
The Code will be priced at £10,545, just over £1700 lower than the standard VTS, but be powered by the same 125bhp 1.6-litre engine and feature the same stiffened chassis set-up. However, unlike the ordinary VTS, the C2 Code comes with a full-length roof stripe, a chrome tailpipe and new 16in alloy wheels. The C2 Code will be available in a choice of two colours: iron grey or metallic black.
Inside, the car gets leather-trimmed, heated sports seats and some other interior leather trim upgrades, as well as an aluminium gearknob.
