Audi's electric car teaser

Speculation that Audi will unveil an electric car at the Frankfurt motor show is gathering pace, after the car maker launched a new microsite called electricityuntamed.com.
The site reveals few details, but a countdown clock is timed to end on 15 September - the preview day for the Frankfurt motor show.

It features statements such as: "What's happened to electricity? It got dumbed down and domesticated. On September 15 electricity, and all its force and power, will run free and completely untamed."
The most persistent rumours have linked Audi with unveiling an electric version of the R8 at the show, although the company has consistently denied this.
