Audi RS3 spied testing

Despite its innocuous looks, this is a test mule for the Audi RS3, which has been spied testing around the Nurburgring circuit and on nearby roads.
The RS3 is powered by the same 335bhp 2.5-litre engine found in the Audi TT-RS, which has 332lb ft of torque.
That should mean it is more than a match for the 300bhp Ford Focus RS and 261bhp VW Golf R20.
Larger air intakes at the front hint at the potent engine, while sources also say that the car has had the TT-Rs’s quattro four-wheel-drive system and suspension fine-tuned, and uprated brakes fitted.
The production car would also have a more aggressive body kit added, including new bumpers and more air intakes to improve engine cooling.
The RS3 is expected to be around the same weight as the TT-RS, suggesting similar performance levels. That means a 0-62mph time of 4.6sec and a potential top speed of 174mph.
