Facelifted Rolls-Royce Phantom has been spied in winter testing

The facelifted Rolls-Royce Phantom has been spied in winter testing ahead of its expected launch at the Geneva motor show.

The revised car gets small detail changes to the grille and headlights, which now feature LED technology.

Under the bonnet, the car retains its 6.8-litre V12, but the powerplant is now mated to a new eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.

It also gets revised electronics to replace the previous-generation BMW 7-series components, which could lead to a slight increase in power (from 453bhp) and efficiency.

The new version of the Rolls-Royce Phantom also benefits from an overhauled sat-nav and multimedia system.

For a nine year old model the Phantom has aged well
Spend 5 mins looking at nothing but pictures of the Ghost, then open a photo of a Phantom and you will realise just how much the Phantom has dated. I noticed this purely by accident.

The Phantom is available as a standard wheelbase saloon, extended wheelbase limousine, 2 door coupé and a convertible.
