The new TwinAir line-up is available with two trim-levels and is powered by the TwinAir engine

Fiat has introduced a new trim range that borrows its name from the firm’s two-cylinder engine.

The new TwinAir range – available for both the three-door and convertible Fiat 500 – gets bespoke styling touches and a better spec list, including a satin chrome finished grille and black alloys.

Also on the list are a rear boot spoiler, chrome-tipped exhaust and the availability of a piano black roof, all of which designed to give the new line-up the “fun to drive” factor, according to Fiat.

Inside, it gets a satin chrome finished dashboard and part-leather sports seats.

All versions are powered by the firm’s 0.9-litre TwinAir petrol engine, giving the car a 0-60mph time of 11 sec and top speed of 108mph and two equipment levels are on offer - TwinAir and TwinAir Plus.

The first is fitted with 15-inch Total Black alloys, sports kit, stop-start and electric mirrors as standard. The second comes with 16-inch wheels and adds air-con, leather steering wheel with radio controls, fog lights, brake assist and hill holder systems.

Vauxhall has confirmed that the new TwinAir range will hit UK soil at the beginning of summer, but prices are yet to be announced. In Italy, however, it's on sale from 12,900 euro (£11,500), so expect a similar figure here.
